Incorporated in 2014, True Grit Transportation, Inc. initially formed in 2013, its animating principle to keep America's engines running, hauling frac sand to the oil and gas fields of Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Pennsylvania, New York... wherever drills were turning and men were working.
True Grit's President, Josh Christian has been a hauler for over 20 years. Trucking is in his blood. His grandfather was a trucker. His father is a trucker and is still involved in this growing operation, which now employs three generations of family... soon to be four.
Just as important, he knows every aspect of the industry, because he's worked every facet of it: dispatcher, mechanic, driver, terminal manager handling over 200 trucks, and ultimately owner of his own company, responsible for the lives and livelihoods of his drivers and office staff their families.
True Grit knows trucking and understands the difference between "good" and "great."
We also understand adaptability. During turbulent times in the industry, True Grit invested in itself, expanding its fleet and diversifying its capabilities, buying hoppers, rock haulers, dry vans, step decks and RGNs; whatever it took to serve the customers and keep the drivers on the road. Over the last 8 years, True Grit has evolved, specializing in heavy haul cartage. We've continued to learn and adapt, drawing from our pool of highly experienced drivers and building a reputation for reliability and safety.
